A small firefly of hope, service, and social change.

Kajwa Bahuddeshiy Sanstha is a dedicated social organization committed to bringing positive and sustainable change in society through various developmental and welfare initiatives. Our name “Kajwa” means firefly. It reflects our belief that just like a small firefly lights up the darkness of the night, even a small effort can remove darkness from society.

Our journey began in 2013 with a simple yet powerful realization. A large amount of food from a wedding was being wasted because fewer people attended, while many people on the streets were struggling to find even a single meal. This moment inspired a strong decision: no food should go to waste while people are hungry.

A group of college friends began collecting excess food and distributing it to people living on footpaths. What began as a small effort gradually turned into a continuous mission of social service.

Over time, our work expanded into women empowerment, employment generation, education, health awareness, environmental conservation, and preserving local cultural heritage.
